Goals and Beliefs
Mission Statement
With the young child in mind, Marvin Elementary connects the home and the academic world, striving to meet each individual student's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs.
Educational Philosophy
At Marvin Elementary, we believe that children in PreKindergarten and Kindergarten should be provided with opportunities to explore their environment and build the foundations for learning to read and write. Kindergarteners will be taught basic concepts of print and begin to engage in and experiment with reading and writing, as well as basic math concepts.
We acknowledge that all children develop at different rates and we are responsible for providing successful experiences for them at appropriate levels. Children who demonstrate abilities above basic curriculum will be provided opportunities for academic growth at their own levels.
