Kindergarten Overview:

This year we will be using several different assessment tools. Our report cards will go home every nine weeks. Progress reports will go home every four and half weeks.  We use Early Literacy testing at the beginning of the year to determine in which direction we need to go with each child and again at the end of the year to see if we have met our goals.

This year in kindergarten we will learn our letters and sounds. We will build on these skills and learn to read simple words and sentences, as well as write them. We will learn our colors, shapes and numbers 1 to 20. From these skills, we will learn to add, subtract, sort by various properties and learn concepts of money and time.
